What's your verdict on the album after you've had time for it to sink in? I wanna know what I'm in for.

The album is flawless, until it reaches "Mr. Nice Watch,".....but even after that it picks right back up. I even love the "Interlude" and the "Intro"

The story in the interlude is funny haha "Yeaaah nikkkaa! We outta here nikkka!"


Album is a classic. It has that "sound" to it. It doesn't sound like random tracks put together. It just fits all together. "Dollar And A Dream III" is one of the greatest songs I've heard.

Btw, I swapped the leaked Lost Ones version with the one on the actual album. Dunno, the mastered version has re-recorded vocals that kinda lack the emotion and I think he overproduced it. The one that leaked was simplistic, but perfect.

In all honesty I'm not hyped for this album at all, but the general consensus on here seems extremely positive so I'm definitely gonna download it now and hopefully J Cole will have a new fan...

I liked the leaked one more, but the album version is growing on me, so i will stick with the album version since its the official one. The leaked second verse is so much better, its like with the album second verse he changed the pitch, it just doesnt sound as good. And the end of the third verse, with the seed line sounds much better on the leaked version, the way it blends with the hook.

Im kinda new to listening to Cole, i havent heard the mixtapes before this, a couple weeks ago i heard Lost Ones and Cheer Up, so i went and heard some random older songs then downloaded this album when it leaked, i was very impressed

your right about that .. it needs to sound more dark, and the mastered one sounds a little more upbeat than expected.

I listened to that to tide myself over and damnnn I love it.

Thanks for pointing that out. I was getting tired of repeating Warm Up and Friday Night Lights to tide myself over.

I've only listened through twice, but Cole was right on one facet of this album. It truly feels timeless. I could listen to this at any time and thuroughly enjoy it. Same with The Warm-Up.
