But if we're going off of the criteria they set for themselves (impact, sales, radio plays, tours, etc.) then Kendrick obviously beats 2Chainz in all of those categories. There is no logical reason why Kendrick shouldn't be the top MC. He had the best rap album of 2012, most critically acclaimed too, plus it did well commercially and everyone's still talking about him. Like it or not, Kendrick IS the number one hottest MC of 2012-13. He owned last year, no doubt. Like EVERYONE has heard GKMC and thinks it's at least great (most think it's classic).
And if 2Chainz DOES get number one then I don't see him being in that spot for very long. They'll change the list because people will flip out saying that Kendrick had THE rap album of 2012. Just like Em had THE rap album of 2010 and they were about to snub him from number one. Recovery was without a doubt the biggest rap album of 2010, the impact was phenomenal and it spawned two MONSTER number 1 singles. And they were about to give it to Rick Ross, who did not sell shit, didn't have any fucking impact LOL.
I mean, I'm talking about THEIR criteria here now. Not even mine. Based off of theirs Kendrick should win this. Hands down.
