Obviously some younger dudes can hold their ground and spit something good like Kendrick, but the majority are just straight booooring. These cyphers were mostly a snooze fest, and why the Hell are there so many femcees who suck so bad? They all sound exactly the same, Christ...as a femcee you have so many different views, perspectives and concepts at your mercy but instead you try to deepen your voice to sound like a fuckin' butch dyke and spit something so God damn ordinary.

Yeah I don't know why they tried to get one for every cypher when (no offense) most female emcees suck

Man this year's fucking sucked.

The Westcoast cypher... and I don't normally mention or care about age, but it looked like a table of old men rapping for change lmao... like, and wtf was that from Snoop... a schoolyard freestyle? it's an event, put some effort in and write something great, I could do that shit myself, so lazy.

All the raps I've seen so far have been so generic and lazy. It's like nobody can be fucked, B.o.B rapping about his watch? Really Bob?... the fucking cheek of people like him to criticize fakeness or commercialism or shallow rappers, he's one of them!

I'm so sick of guns and money now, where's the fucking creativity.

Hopsin was okay but expected better from him, flow was pretty meh, few nice lines though.

Feels like such a shame too, like a wasted opportunity because, if I was a rapper... this would be one of the prime spots to REALLY show off, really write and perform something special. I would aim to write something fucking mind-blowing and have people like , most of these guys just seem content to make a few threats, tell you how rich they are and throw up a hand sign.

just re-watched the Shady 2.0 Cypher from 2011, first of all Yela's verse was not bad AT ALL, Royce fucking killed his verse, but Em's part!!! GOD DAMN!!! NO ONE spit a verse that is near half as good as the one Em spit on 011!

The Shady 2.0 cypher was the only good one from last year, too.

None of the cyphers are any good, EmBase is right, if I were ever to be invited to go there I'd give everything I've got, not just your average verse.

I've heard nothing but bad reviews of this years set. Was there really not anybody who stood out??
