Kendrick said that he had a clear idea in mind about what he wanted the songs to be. (all of them)
He wrote Dr dre's verses, MC Eiht said (on hip hop dx I think)that he only gave him some ideas but he was surprised to see what kdot wanted him to write so I assumed it was the same shit for drake

I didn't like Drake's verse at all. It ruined the sound of the album up to that point and he rapped terribly as always.
