And yes, complaining about Drake being on the album.

And I wouldn't say it's a "Love" song per say, it just deals with women.

Shit, it could've been Eminem on the song, he does have the Aftermath connect and close affiliation with many West Coast artists.

It would've made it a better song and it would've reached an even bigger audience.

I want Eminem to collab with kendrick but I didn't want Em on GKMC.
Not really a fan of what he did last year

Kill You wrote:Lol Poetic Justice isn't a love song. As Aone put it it's just deals with women.

Eminem on Poetic Justice would have been better, funny, and ironic. Drake is painfully obvious.

You hate drake lol, of course you want to see someone else instead of him but he song is perfect like that, Drake did his job :confusion:

I don't hate Drake, I dislike how he is and portrays himself. I can admit when a Drake song is good and I actually like Drake to an extent. Just because I say Started From The Bottom is terrible doesn't mean I hate the man lol. I loved Take Care. The only artist I genuinely hate in the game is Lil Wayne. And I don't really even hate him as a person, I hate his influence. Rap music was so good until he became popular then everyone tried to be a carbon-copy of Wayne. Including Drake. Even Eminem started throwing in Wayne-esque punchlines (though I think he's getting away from those). Comeback Season was great, So Far Gone is good...then he got signed and fell off.

Drake may have done his job and in your eyes he may have been "perfect" for the song but to me it was very cliché and obvious. "Oh look, Drake on a song about women and he's rapping in his YM flow trying to seduce her...okay. And?..." That's why I said someone like Eminem would have actually been ironic since Em doesn't rap about that type of shit. Poetic Justice had sooo much potential to be a great song but in the end it's really just another song with Drake on it. Yawn. I'll take any other song on GKMC any day over Poetic Justice.

Yeah that's what I meant lol. He obviously has rapped about women before but he'd do it in a comical and abusive way.

Eminem + Backseat Freestyle = classic

HE COULD EVEN DO A FUCKING ACCENT AND IT WOULD BE AMAZINGGGG

I love that fucking beat, and the song content is perfect for Slim.

I guess this should go in the unpopular opinion thread but I loved the Kendrick x Drake combo on PJ

Really? I thought Em would have destroyed a beat like the Backseat Freestyle or Poetic Justice. But tbh, the best song to throw Em on would have been Swimming Pools. 1 because he can relate to that type of content, and 2 it would have made the single that much bigger and probably would've helped Kendrick go platinum instead of gold. :D

EDIT: I actually really just thought about how Em would've sounded on Swimming Pools and jizzed in my pants.

Na, swimming pools is perfect like that, the beat is a kendrick type beat :worship:
Eminem can do well on some beats but musically, it wouldn't be very interesting imo

In fact, both artists can fit on a lot of songs but kendrick's album is really unique, can't see eminem on one of these songs tbh.
Same goes for Relapse, I thought it was very unique and thx god there aren't a lot of features on it

And the album will go plat, actually, kendrick can do MBDTF numbers because his sales are still very solid :sweating: (from 2010 to 2012, kanye has sold +/- 1 200 000 copies of MBDTF )

wouldn't work on Swimming pools and Eminem wouldn't fit at all on backseat freestyle, Kendrick is actually in his car with his friends, he is freestyling on the backseat of the car on the HitBoy's beat.
Would have been very strange to hear Eminem freestyling in the same car, the story would have been fucked lol

I can see Eminem on only 1 song, Kendrick feat Em(with the voice he has on Underground) ft GunPlay - cartoons and cereal

In fact, this is the first time I see people saying that Drake ruined PJ ... All of my friends love the song, it song was critically praised & acclaimed and the song was charted way before its official release. It's just that Drake isn't the most loved artist on TR. :coffee:
Nothing wrong with that, you can't love everybody =p

Drake doesn't really fit into the story line I'm sure, so why not just throw in Eminem

Maybe he is freestyling to a eminem song -shrugs shoulders-

In the bonus then (instead of the black hippy remix) because a featuring would have ruined the sequence of the album imo.
Really can't see Em on Swimming pools, the single is fucking amazing like that lol but again, it's my opinion :y:
It's like I can see Kendrick rapping on a lot of beats from Relapse but I really can't imagine kdot in the album. It's really the same for Em, I can see him rapping on a few beats from Kdot but I can't see him on the album :/

Aone10 wrote:Atleast Eminem is closely affiliated to the biggest name to come out of Compton, and signed to the same record label as Kendrick Lamar.

That's why they have to collab on a Dre's beat one day, Dr Dre is lazy as fuck :confusion:

Imo it was the right approach and I can't imagine another voice than Drake's voice with the Janet Jackson Sample.
The song sounds like Drake( the beat, the sample, everything), it sounds like his lane, it could have been Drake ft Kendrick :-k

Hmm, everyone seemed alright when Lady Gaga was set to do the hook on BDKMV
Or is it different when its a whole verse as it equals more content?

edit: and I guess it sounded and felt better without her on it

I have seen a lot of ppl hating on the song (lady gaga feat kendrick), I think it was a good choice not to include her vocals on the offical song.

I like them both but the version from the album is better when he has to perform it because it delivers so much more energy :flutter:
Edit: no I'm saying shit, couldn't hear the chorus when he performed it because the crowd was singing very loud at the same time :coffee:

I don't know a lot of Kendrick's stans who wanted to see Eminem on this album.
A collab between Em and Kendrick would be amazing but not on GKMC.
Eminem has nothing to do with Compton and Eminem has nothing to do with kendrick's life before signing to Aftermath.
Jay Rock and kdot are friends and both of them are from The Black Hippy, kendrick worked with Anna Wise in the past, Kendrick has known Drake for maybe more than 2 years (poetic justice was one of the most recent songs of the album), Mc Eiht & Dr Dre are from Compton... You can see that everything is connected to his previous life or to Compton.

It's the same for the production, Kendrick said several months before the release of the album that he didn't want to work with a lot of famous producers, but with those he had established himself with, or producers from the TDE Team

That's one of the reasons why the album is a success, it's surprisingly cohesive.

Actually, A feat Eminem on kendrick's second album (Aftermath) would be cool, especially if the album is about his "new celebrity" :y:
