50 Cent simply got bored with rap and was making too much money elsewhere to care. This all happened after the success of his movie, the soundtrack for it and then the Vitamin water deal. 2006 is when he stopped caring. Look at his BET awards performance in 2007, it is single handily the best picture for when he didn't give a fuck, he walked around in his performance without really performing and then just said "Vitamin water ladies and gentlemen, Vitamin water".....it was hilarious to see, but also sad because that was the day he said fuck you to hip hop. He went through things not many, if any see to get to the top, so once he got there and made it, he couldn't be fucked anymore. His 'Curtis' album was so blatantly released just for the sake of him releasing an album, he had NONE of the energy he had for his previous releases, he was bored.

He's coming around again though. He wants a positive legacy.
