just goes to show how Em's legacy wasnt in full back then.

Em is still underrated from some people who just refuse to see the brilliance in him.
The devil ain't on a level same as him!

Yea Twiztid has always said they got alot of loce for Eminem, even when ICP and Shady had beef, Twiztid was givin Eminem props during that time still, i remember at one of the Seminars a few years ago during the Gathering they were talkin about if they ever got on a track with Eminem or somethin like that, it was dope.

by the way Twiztid > ICP

for me it goes:

Nlaze Ya Dead Homie = Bonndox > Twiztid >ICP > Anybody Killa

DJ Clay got some dope rhymes to

Perfect example of what most members that have been on the net for a while have been saying this whole time.

Eminem fans have always been fickle. TES is arguably his best album, but back then it was seen as a sell-out move. People love that album now. You can already see it with Relapse. Relapse was seen as a lyrical achievement from the start, but it wasn't until Recovery came out that some could see it for what it was.

Same thing with TES. People wanted Slim Shady back. He was too soft in 2002, and they wanted that crazy shit from the first two albums back. Then, they get this zany, fucked up Eminem on Encore, and they were practically begging for another TES.

Fuck it. You'll see this shit happen from now, until the dude is dead. Then, after he dies, everything will be about ten times greater in terms of appeal.

Fucking hell some of those guys are retards.

The Eminem Show, fucking pop? what the fuck kind of pop have they heard.

There isn't a single song on TES which is either pop or which in my opinion even has pop elements. The only true made-to-be-single is "Without Me" and that's an awesome, HIP HOP track. The flow is amazing, the lyricism is great, amazing hook, how the fuck is it pop.

He was in absolutely top form on that album in every sense.

Lmao at saying the guy who made "Sing for the Moment" is a pop star at that point. Ridiculous. Yeah, I remember when N-Sync ruffled the feathers of Congress too.

The Eminem Show is purely ROCK influenced. You could say he went rock at that time. And he said himself he wanted to capture the rock vibe of the 70s. But it's in no way pop, people don't even know what the fuck pop is when they say it.

People just think, more famous = pop.

He didn't 'tone it down' that album either. There's a 'motherfucker' practically every other word on some tracks. He just didn't kill as many people as his themes evolved. If he didn't evolve they'd say he was a one trick pony. People are retards.

One guy also says it's hypocrisy for Em to insult pop stars then appeal to 'that same pop market'. I'd like to see that idiot justify that statement. What single fucking LINE on The Eminem Show is aimed at appealing to 'that same pop market' as those he dissed? in what fucking way is flying the flag of free-speech, pissing on the Whitehorse lawn, square dancing around his enemies and spitting fire till he collapses appealing to POP fans? :facepalm2

Oh my god, just when I thought they couldn't get more stupid...
Moron wrote: It's hypocritical to bash

It's unreal how fucking dumb that guy is. People like this, who don't even get the basic aims of Eminem, his basic fucking tongue-in-cheek, provocation and artistry think they have the right to dismiss his music?

It's funny how clowns like this probably consider themselves 'hip hop heads' and yet can't even understand simple concepts or irony. If they don't understand The Marshall Mathers LP, which in concept is actually pretty simple, it's just 'I am whatever you say I am' aka I will become your criticisms... if they don't get that, I seriously doubt they get more complex themes of classic hip hop or political rappers as they think they do.

Wow. Just reading more, one guy even argued Em turned pop after The Slim Shady LP. He said The Marshall Mathers LP didn't have the 'intensity' of it and he was a mainstream pop star at that point. Fuck me, I wish I could understand the stupidity of people like this. If I had to name an ANTI-pop album, it would be MMLP. And, lacking 'lyrical intensity'... :confusion:
