But there are so many other great albums that can go on that list as well such ass Illmatic, It Was Written, Enter the Wu-Tang, Wu Tang forever, Hell On Earth, At the Speed of life, Life After Death, Me Against The World, Only Built for Cubin Linx, Its Dark and Hell is Hot, Flesh of my Flesh Blood of my Blood, Muddy Waters and too many more.
Honestly this era of Rap music was so much different and extremely better than the recent stuff we hear today, it is just so sad what Rap has become.
@EmBase Man I remember buying At The Speed Of Life when it came out. That album was dope from the opening track till the end. Paparazzi and foundation are 2 of my favorites on that album.

bigray wrote:So today's hip hop vs 90's hip hop, you are saying iit s not not much different from todays rap and there were just as much bad songs and rappers back then, than there are today? YA RIGHT![]()
I lived in both era's and partied in both era's back in the 90's there were some bad rappers, yes I agree but like today? Never son....today I can hand count 100 rappers easily who are just GOD AWFUL and would never have a chance in the 90's and should stay far away from a mic....You think there would be rap that sounds like Lil B, Soldier Boy, Waka Flocka, Gucci Mane, Rick Ross, Tyga, 2Chainz, Lil Wayne and the list goes on and on. I cant even count 5 rappers in the 90's that were bad like that. Every rapper was hard back than and there raps came from the heart and had meaning/emotion. You felt there struggle and pain in there music. Sure Hip Hop has evolved and will continue but do I like how it is evolving? NO![]()
For example when people heard Cee Lo was gonna be on My Life people probably had no clue who he was and saying he soft and shit. Well Cee Lo is from Goodie Mob another great group that I use to listen to growing up.
one of my favorite songs from Goodie Mob , http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ymlIqSwmDc
What I am trying to say and I am sorry for taking away from the OP is Rap is not the same as it was when I was growing up and there are many like me who have the same feelings. Even rappers have the same feeling I do Jon Connor and Hopsin feel how i feel.
Until you lived in the 90's and grew up with Rap music only you may have certain opinions but it wont be the same opinion if you actually lived in that eraI lived it, felt it and I will stand strong behind what I say.
