I consider kanye as a bad/average rapper (but still a good artist) and lyrically, Jay-z has never impressed me

1) Blu, Exile, Slug, Eyedea are all great but I think they're boring and can't listen to a full solo project by them.

2) No Mercy by T.I is such a waste, it could have done great with singles like Poppin Bottles, Castle Walls, No Mercy..

3) Kanye West isn't one of the best rappers but he's definitely one of the most enjoyable.

4) Unlike many underground rappers (and not talking about those I mentionned above), Hopsin was able to put his personality and character in his music.

5) I don't mind ignorant/trap/lex luger rap as long as you don't put them in the same category as serious rappers and start comparing them.

5') Rappers get a lot of hate for their image and thus people judge their music on it, which is the wrong thing to do.

1. Biggie was overhyped. He's very good, but definitely not top-10 material. He would have fell off.

2. Most underground rappers are underground for a reason. Many of them have some talent but aren't recording quality overall.

3. I actually like Ross, 2 Chainz, Wayne, Drake, etc. I think they often put out mediocre songs because they already made it and they have room to get comfortable, but they have SOME songs that really show that they aren't as bad.

4. I think there is a good chance Eminem's next album is going to suck and flop.

5. It doesn't matter if you rhyme 20 words at a time, multi's aren't good if you can't deliver them. And if they don't have a message, it's pointless. Rappers say a lot of words, but they don't mean anything.
"I take yall diss as endearment - I love it when I hear it
Maybe words offensive - free speech I don't fear it
Maybe music can take us to a place so atmospheric
Beyond our greatest imagination, illuminatin' experience
If we open our ears and close our inhibitions, it's clear"

And how has Jay never impressed you lyrically?

Cool, a lot of members here don't really even consider him a top 10 dead or alive.

Big is 1 of the best ever, he is top 5 on my list and many others outside of TR.

Same. I guess one can be:
1. Biggie>Tupac

Kendrick Lamar's delivery (not flow) and beats suck.

2Pac is dead.

Biggie is the most overrated rapper ever (I still like him though).

Hopsin deserves more respect.

Big L would've never fallen off.
