I think all of those things are his biggest assets though.

His frantic tone and cadences, I think, are what make him sound so unique. From what I have heard, when he's good, it's unlike anything else I've heard, he has his own voice for sure.

Nah not yet, I'm so lazy.

I just feel bored and lethargic lately; I haven't listened to a new album in ages. Haven't even listened to old albums in ages, have just been sleeping and watching comedy!

I'll get around to them soon enough.

If you already like his songs then you're going to be surprised with his concept album ;)

I think you would love GKMC Embase. If anything you would appreciate it for the art and the breath of fresh air.

I listened to his album a third time after not having listened for awhile and I was kind of awed and surprised by how good I thought it was. I was noticing a lot of things I didn't the first two times and am excited to listen to it again tbh

although I don't think those are his biggest assets, I agree he does all of those things well. He doesn't rely on forced multies and speed though which is what I was trying to say. Someone who's only interested in fast delivered forced multies might not see why kendrick is held in such high regards

His mic presence is great. Sounds very natural on the mic. His content is also pretty great and he knows how to create detailed images. He's more than an above average rapper.

I'm not trying find another Tech N9ne. There's a Tech N9ne for that. My point is that multi's and flows/speed control are what rap is. Until you incorporate those things into your poetry, it will remain just that.

However, I'm reading here in this thread that Kendrick is really good at coming up with tons of different flows and multi's and packing it all into his verses. This is what I'm looking for. Where do I start?

And please understand I'm not being bias here. I quite simply haven't heard a Kendrick Lamar verse worth replaying.

At this point that's how I feel. Kendrick's music sounds extremely bland and boring from everything I've heard thus far.
