I've seen tons of his videos with him talking on everything from the state of hip-hop, to broad politics; he has the basis to be intelligent, but says a lot of idiot things, is very ignorant, very irritating and thinks he's way more intelligent than he is. He says obvious facts as if they're revelations to the human race and he's a messiah of knowledge, and asserts blind claims like he's got prophetic insight. He's a pompous windbag.

Just because he thinks he's more intelligent than he actually is doesn't mean that he's not intelligent.

But he isn't intelligent, he's more intelligent than a moron, but he's not an intellectual.

Personally, I love KRS's personality. He may ramble, but at least its good shit, I remember him saying something like 'The essence of Hip-Hop is the courage to be yourself'. Really like that, plus one of my top emcees. Return of the Boom Bap is a close Top 5.
But I respect that your judging his temperament rather than his music.
