:o Finally a tracklist, hope this means the album is right around the corner. It's annoying that we've already heard 8 of the tracks, if I knew they were gonna be on the final album, I wouldn't have listened to every single one of those songs lol. But that looks like an amazing album.

Haunted (f. Mai Khalil) is the continuation of Bars For My Brother. I've heard that track is mad deep, this album is gonna be great, hopefully.

He sure loves Mai Khalil. Looking forward to that track, even though I have a love/hate relationship w/ Bars For My Brother.

Can anybody tell what 8 tracks that are out so far?

Voices Of The Voiceless (ft Immortal Technique)
Terrorist?
Something Wonderful
Obama Nation
Blood, Sweat and Tears (ft Klashnekoff)
Long Live Palestine

..and? I'm trying to find all the tracks and put them on my Ipod.

I just listened to it again on YouTube. It's a really easy to listen to song. There's just something about the content that pisses me off, I can't put my finger on it. I find "think about that shit when you diss her, that's somebodys daughter, somebodys mother and somebodys sister" really annoying - a man is someone's son, someone's father and someone's brother, should people not diss men either?

And on the foreign politics comment - Lowkey's music has got me interested in foreign politics massively and influences a lot of my writing now. It's amazing that his music can get you thinking about the world so much.

For a guy who puts so much thought into everything he says, that line is just unbelievably thick but I don't know if it bothers me. It is what it is.

I agree with the last part. I always start caring about such stuff when I hear other people care about it ha ha. But it is not like I'm ignorant when it comes to foreign politics, I like reading books about great personalities such as Mandela. It often just takes someone like Lowkey for me to wake up so to speak.

He represents everything great about hip hop. He is like a modern Chuck D. My only hope now is that the big US rappers and producers start to recognize his talent and vision and give him a chance to get on their albums. It just wouldn't surprise me if a lot of them are scared to work with a rebellious guy who dare questioning Obama. Maybe that would ruin their glossy images?

:y:

I still can't understand why this song didn't make it onto the album. It's surely one of my favorite tracks from him.

I don't like listening to it too much because, well similar to what you said, but it's just a genuinely emotional and sad song that it's hard to enjoy it often lol.

Didn't feel like making a new thread, but anyone seen that Lowkey is apparantly collabing with Outlawz on their next album? That should produce interesting results.

Personally, I understood where he was coming from...I would go mental if anyone were to speak about my little sister in the way some people refer to women, but wouldn't give so much of a fuck about anything anyone says about my older brother.

I have sent e-mails to a bunch of organizers of hip hop festivals in Denmark asking them to book Lowkey. Worth a try :P

It just annoys the fuck out of me that he mentions Mandela and ANC as terrorists on Terrorist. They only made bombs because white cops started murdering innocent/peaceful demonstrants for no reason at all + they always did everything to avoid harming people with the bombs.

Even though don't really like that mention either, I think he said that to highlight the fact that even if their motives behind their actions were good and it was for a good cause--no matter how you look at it, it is still an act of terrorism. It doesn't really matter whose side its on (like it does for the u.s.-if you're against US you're a terrorist, if you're for the u.s., you can't be a terrorist) it can be considered as a terrorist action.
