Birdman said that Wayne is a better rapper than Jay-Z and that he has more money than him.
Jay-Z responded (Look it up on youtube Hot97 interview) with saying that it's cool that Birdman thinks Wayne is a better rapper than him. He thought of it as a personal opinion.
But he didn't agree with the money part. He said that's more factual and that he does have more money than them.
Next thing you know H.A.M. happened and he addressed it even further.
That's how it started.
