I could give a fuck-less if Black Hippy isn't popular here, but people have been exposed to them more and this isn't a change your vote poll. Also, I didn't completely, or really at all read the comment, so forgive if I missed something. I guess it's whatever.

The thing is man...who cares if the majority doesn't like what you like? Who cares if you're maybe even the ONLY one who likes it? It doesn't matter. Just listen to what you like and stop caring. Like you said, you DON'T care. So what's the need for another thread?

Don't act like it won't be debated as time progresses. Once that joint song comes out it will debated here and everywhere it's heard whether I bring it up or not, like I'm not here to make you like Black Hippy over Slaughterhouse, however I will try to expose people to the music because I honestly think it's amazing. It's your choice to listen or not, I'm not forcing anyone to open any thread or even read my comments about them. And, honestly I would have just bumped this thread once the time came around for the song to drop as opinions may change and I'm interested in knowing, however this doesn't give you the option to change your vote. Also, it's not hard to image opinions may change seeing how BH only lost by 6 votes without the backing of Eminem or Shady Recods on this site.

Dude? Seriously, you're making it a bigger deal than me. If no one cares about the poll just lock the damn thread and not quote my comments when it was over. I said it was, "whatever," but you had to come back and throw your 2 cents in to make it look like I'm being an ass. Just lock the thread and continue with life. I mean I wouldn't have cared if you locked the thread anyway, just don't paint me as the fan boy trying to shape the world when that wasn't even my intention.

Slaughterhouse is just a lyrical group. Tbh, they pose no style whatsoever. Joell is the only one in the group that actually has a distinction from the others.

Joey's a lame, Royce is okay, and Crooked's just in his own world.

You're not really a big Black Hippy fan if you're going to put Budden on such a high pedestal. I mean, there's no chance in Hell that Joey is better than Kendrick.

I sound ignorant for saying that Kendrick Lamar is better than Joe Budden? Kendrick Lamar, who actually has personality in his music, who is actually an excellent writer, compared to Joe Budden?

Wow.

A little tbh. Budden does have personality in his music, AND a lot of it comes from his writing (which is really on par with K.Dot's  )

My opinion remains the same, but Jay Rock has been on fire lately so he deserves a little promotion. If he doesn't come this hard on his next album he's going back to last. Keep in mind, my list takes in all of the skills of a rapper, not just one. If you want me to split my list into rhyming, writing, lyricial, discography, wordplay, punchlines, current popularity, production used on their projects, attitude, etc. tell me the category and I'll give you my opinion and reasons why I did that. It would look different for this whole list except maybe that Kendrick Lamar is number one (at least I'm honest).

Kendrick Lamar > Ab-Soul > Schoolboy Q > Joe Budden > Joell Ortiz > Crooked I > Jay Rock > Royce da 5'9".

Also, Kendrick Lamar has a large discography for his age:

Section.80
Overly Dedicated
Kendrick Lamar - EP
C4
No Sleep 'Til NYC (w/ Jay Rock)
Training Day

Also, The Recipe I thought was a cool, chill song. It's like a modern version of California Love. (Just chiller and more relaxed, I say it's a 8/10 single. However, on Kendrick Lamar's standards it's nothing special.) Swimming Pools (Drank) was an amazing single. It has a great cross over beat, and a great message that you wouldn't expect on this kind of beat. It's probably the best song to hit the rap mainstream in a long while. It did amazing for almost no promotion as well, and got a great music video. That was probably the best music video I've seen all year. It's 9/10 song, this is all my opinion BTW.

Where did I say Budden's writing is "sloppy"? It's uninteresting, for a better word.

blackhippy is good but slaughterhouse would destroy them completely if they were to go head to head lyrically.
