Hopsin isn't a bad rapper, he's pretty good but a lot of other rappers are as good as him imo.
for me, He isn't unique at all (except his lenses lol)

The tracks from C2 were all connected to each other and there is a certain artistic growth demonstrated by Lil Wayne on that album.
This album proved me that you don’t need to be an underground artist to be critically successful and wayne didn't need super known producers to produce c2.
In 2005, it was pretty hard for someone to be successful (radio, charts) without akon or other pop artists like him on your songs but wayne did it =p
The album would have been considered as a classic for a lot of critics but as they said back in the days, the only problem was that wayne claimed to be the best rapper alive with that album but he didn't even try to prove it

> great lyrics (not talking about rhymes, I rly think that hop> wayne in that domain ), the old lil wayne used to drop amazing metaphors (his metaphors are pretty bad nowadays imo), great flows, great production, great delivery... that's basically what I think about that album

Lance5, I respect your point of view and I'll tell you what I liked about Raw.

- It was all self made, with very few help. The beats he makes are really reminiscent of the good ol' rap era and they suit him best. He sounds really natural on these beats and they're not overproduced.

- The content. It's good to hear someone speak his mind even though that means getting in trouble. He also had great storytelling songs and relatable songs with great content. Now the illuminati talk is not what people prefer and they blame him for talking bout them, but when Asap Rocky or Kanye do it they just ignore it.

- His delivery is always on point and you're rarely bored while listening to Hopsin. Now it's true that he's not a metaphor type of artist and he's straightforward but that's good, every rapper doesn't need to be "metaphorically complex", it's just not his style. His rhyming is good, too. And he IS definitely RAW as fuck.

- This album got him a lot of recognition and he's now one of the most popular name in the underground, his following is pretty huge now. All from his basement. Talent pays off.

All these things make it to me a better album than Carter 2.

yep but for me, it doesn't mean that the album is better than a studio album. (c2 wasn't produced by great producters either)
For me, wayne sounded really natural on his album but maybe you don't like his voice

His delivery is good, I can't deny that :y:

C2 got a lot of recognition in 2005 and wayne was considered as one of the best rappers alive by a lot of people when Eminem disappeared from the world.
A lot of critics (hiphopdx and others) wanted to give the "classic status" to this album but wayne was too arrogant for them... the man claimed to be the best rapper alive just like that :facepalm2

I can only respect your opinion even if I disagree with you when you say that raw > c2

No, not about you Trimss, you are cool. Your posts are always well-structured and your opinions clear and not meant to offense anoyne. :y: I understand why you argue sometimes (I would not do that, but I can understand), especially when the person is ignorant (again, no pun).

I just think a lot of people´s posts and behaviour here match their looking more than they think. ( If that makes sense :D ) Also typing, structure of their answers, swearing.. All that I realized that after seeing your pics guys.

Thanks man. :b:

But yeah sometimes it's really surprising to see how people really look. Like almost everyone here thought Almostlity was black lol. Sometimes you picture how they look by the way they post so when you see a eral picture you're often surprised.

I know that feeling.
