Surprisingly I've never met anyone like this. :-k

Oh wait, my mom. :facepalm

My mom likes Eminem, well, whatever she's heard from him. She also likes Hopsin and Nas lol.

Aha, I remember this time when my mom and I were riding in the car going home, Weezy's "How To Love" came and on she turned the radio down, but when Em's "Love The Way You Lie" came on, she blasted that shit. :smoking:

It's funny though because back in the ol' "Slim Shady" days she didn't like him.

Well our lunch ladis do nothing more than bitch about life and serve the food, they actually make us take out the garbage. We always like, "What the fuck are they getting paid to do?" Then I have teachers that don't teach and complain when we fail, it makes me mad.

2pac is dead
How can hip-hop be dead if Wu-Tang is forever?

I get annoyed by people like my parents or sisters who think it's just "I'm gonna kill you" or "I'm a gangsta"

^Exactly. I hate that people think rapping is easy, and even plenty of Hip-Hop fans (who have never tried to become good at it themselves) think so too. Building a good delivery is a bitch.

This. I still don't have a voice that sounds really good, I've been trying to experiment with different voices (my normal one sucks), and fuck...flow is a whole nother issue.

Word, I was working on recording today, unfortunately the program I record with is so fuckin quiet so I can barely hear it, for fuck sakes.

Are you sure it's the program's fault? If you're on Windows, go to control panel (>sound>recording>microphone>properties>levels) and add like 30db to the microphone boost. This should help if you have a shitty mic like me. Also download cubase and use these presets - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yDViKqK53IQ

And most importantly, don't get discouraged guys. And my best advice is to do it as it comes most natural to you, instead of trying something you can't do. You can read my "how to rap tutorial" thread for some technical advices, but it always comes down to practice and getting the feeling of it.

And this is a blog I run into the other week, and it seems to be quite helpful - http://rappingmanual.com/?cat=74

But there's no way I'm getting discouraged, I'm actually having fun when I'm not frustrated experimenting with new things. But before I put ANYTHING out I'm getting my friends to send it to people they don't know and getting their feedback.

Sure thing man, I'm glad whenever I can help. And yeah, having fun is the most important thing, and that's how you should approach it. And at the end of the day, even if you don't sound good, you can't really tell until you hear yourself on a recording, so if you feel good while doing it - fuck the other situations, lol.

hmmm... that hip-hop fans are typically angry and rebellious.

It really fucking pisses me off, really erks me, such fucking utter cunting bullshit, argh, I'm so angry, I'm gonna... gonna blow up the government. It's such a falsehood!

Also perhaps the idea that hip-hop fans may often be young and immature...

I mean, just, such a blind assumption when... me personally, I love hip-hop and, I'm a responsible, mature, independent adult that does things for himself, and considers consequence before action.

I would expand on that more but my dadda has just run a bath for me and I wanna catch The Simpsons on SkyOne before I go stay at grandmas and do my homework. So, I'll go wash, then I might get high in the woods with some spuriously mixed / untrustworthy illegal street drugs (various / pick and mix). I mean, I know street drugs can be dangerous but, I wanna get high, so... :confusion:

Anyway, yeah, stereotypes - what a load of bull.

Being good at something no matter what it is it will be hard if it does not come from the heart. You can go through many things in your life ,but if it does not or did not leave its mark then you will not be able to deliver it on paper or from the mouth like it should be delivered.Experience is the start of knowing what you wanna rap about and the pain and emotions from that experience is what will make the rap great so without these two elements you are either just gonna sound like all the other rappers (not so good or boring) or You are either gonna sound great and stand out like rappers such as eminem, tupac, lil kim,mc lyte, ludacris, big sean, drake,ll cool jay, kanye west, foxy brown, busta rhymes,And many more that i did not name. But my point rap is not easy and you gotta have talent to be able to deliver, write and stay on point,on key,in timing while staying off timing while getting your point, and message across yet are saying something that comes together that makes sense out of the nonsense of what the message is about and this is not by any means easy because either your just flapping off at the mouth and talking shit and ain't saying nothing or you are saying something while making sense of the shit your talking about and delivering some real and true ass shit.POINT BLANK.
