This is so good.. Nas finally gets some solid beats and he spits gnarly shit on this album. I love it.

AOTY
Best Nas album since...I don't know I don't remember but certainly more than 10 years!!!
Most tracks on this album show how poor lyricism in mainstream rap right now actually is.

@MikeNUFC "Reach Out. Eh, beat and hook putting me off already. Honestly, this hook is fucking terrible. Nas' first is decent. Second is immense. This got better as it went on. The beat during the hook and the hook itself are awful, though" <--------------- You are crazy for thinking that :facepalm ...this record is fuckin DOPE! The beat, lyrics and hook got the old school feeling to it!

Been listening to it again and I was a bit harsh. Still don't think the beat and hook work together though. The piano bits on the verses are much better. It's not the worse song (that'll be Summer on Smash) but there's a lot better on the CD.

I think it's the intro and build up. You're just waiting for Nas to come in. And then he does and rips it. Best song on the album.

It's really interesting that Nas had an anti-homophobia line on Back When. I always thought (through certain lyrics) that he was anti-gay. Refreshing and suprising.

What does everyone think of Cherry Wine? It's really intriguing to me.

Menzo wrote:"Summer On Smash" is gay, I just fuckin hate Swizz Beatz, c'mon Nas.

Especially that it comes straight after World's an Addiction. Hurts momentum when you're listening to the album from start to finish.

I wish Nas would rap over beats like World's an Addiction more often. He sounds great on it. Intro was quite the pump up.

Your internet service provider can now see everything that you download and punish you if they see something illegal. Starting today of course. :facepalm

Which ISP providers? Certaintly there must be a few not doing that shit. Right? There's a shit load of things I want to download. Also, are mixtapes illegal now too?

That ISP spy ring did not go into effect today, nor is it even clear whether that rumor was true.. No company has commented on it and it appears it never had any validity.

Stop freaking out..

No need to be so insensitive

:flower:

Sorry. It's just been driving me crazy that people believe it because it was posted on the Internet. Internet companies would have nothing to gain from ISP spying. They would lose customers.

Dug the album. My favorites are: Stay, World's an Addiction, Cherry Wine, Accidental Murderers and Nasty.

Based on 2 listens, I'd rank Nas best albums like this:

God's Son > Illmatic > Distant Relatives > It Was Written > Life is Good / Hip Hop Is Dead > Stillmatic
