They seem to love Drake. But this was pretty shit, and I don't even hate Drake like that. Pretty sure Blu and Alm won't like it either..

This doesn't even sound like drake :confusion:

"Started from Degrassi, now we here!"
TrShady is just great. A place where pompousus blowhards can connect with other pompousus blowhards, and form a vast circle jerk of pomposity.

I am so dissapointed in this....I can see that he is trying to have more of a "hip hop flow", instead of that R and B stuff, but he can at least make better content, and for gods sake stop repeating the same chorus over and over again, at least when he sang it it was entertaining...

Actually, I have listened to it more, and though the chorus is fucking annoying and repetitive....I love how he expresses his life in this song, not girls, not money, he is talking about his life from the bottom. It isn't the most original idea, but I appreciate what he is trying to get at, and if his new album is like this but without repetitive choruses, it might actually be good.

I don't like it because it doesn't sound like a club track, it doesn't sound like a hype track, it doesn't sound like a lyrical track, it doesn't sound like a catchy track..

It's just a song. With verses. And a hook. Only the beat is great..

Love some comments from rapradar saying that Drake's content is influenced by the success of Kendrick & Asap

I actually agree with that, the mainstream hip hop is changing: Game released a concept album (for the first time ?), J. Cole released a rap song without the usual catchy chorus, Drake is trying to release more "hip hop" songs with real content... hopefully, Eminem, Jay-z and the others don't go pop on their album :flutter:

Artists like Drake, Kendrick, A$AP...they know in order to survive you must adapt while sticking to your roots. The game is constantly changing, using the same old formula doesn't work anymore.

I agree, and you can actually see mainstream rappers releasing hip hop songs as lead singles instead of their usual songs with pop chorus on it :y:
