Reasonable Doubt outshines The Slim Shady LP on a lyrical and production basis.

Jay's best, arguably one of Em's worst... :coffee:

SSLP cuz Em is best!
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

The lyrics are better on Reasonable Doubt and so is production. Also, you put If I Had on your list??? Good song but anything on RD outshines it. SSLP is a good album but the songs become very monotonous in the 2nd half and seem it all seems very meaningless compared to RD.

I know Blu is just trolling but he has some points, the biggest being that some people here put Em on too high a pedestal. Ems classic period is great, if you think no artist comes close you need to spend more time listening to other artists. I mean some people here actually think Reasonable Doubt is boring :confusion: which is understandable if your not listening to the lyrics or need booming dre bass to satisfy to keep your attention. I guess some people dont understand the art of being subtle.

EDIT: Wow I responded before I knew just how bad this thread was. Great potential for real discussion here, instead we have flame war between opposing stans.

Paul has always been a co-owner of Shady Records. He has always had more stock. Also, Shady's clothing line failed horribly...#NoPointMade

Edit: Anyway, I choose The Slim Shady LP even though Reasonable Doubt isn't bad at all, it's fucking amazing. You could easily argue for it being better, I made opinion on what I like more.

By the way, fuck you Aftermathers. Blu da GOAT.

Shut up bruh, Em is a failure, was only good when he was rappin about rapin his moms tbh.

i was on your side up until you said Em is a failure. In no sense of the term is a failure lol. He's successful, been a relatively good father (i say that in reservation, as he as kept his kids out of the public eye) and has made great music for a decade. He's gotten out of drug addiction and come back to being an incredibly formidable rapper that no one dares fuck with. He's influenced rap in ways that people can dream.

Jay-Z is a GOAT. But Reasonable Doubt is not his best album, and neither is SSLP.

Jay Z
1. The Blueprint 10/10
2. The Black Album 10/10
3. Reasonable Doubt 9/10
4. American Gangster 9/10

Eminem
1. The Eminem Show 10/10
2. MMLP 10/10
3. Relapse 10/10
4. SSLP 9/10
