Black Hippy VS D12

Kendrick Lamar has got that "it" feel like Eminem did back in the day, but I'd say they are very different artists obviously. Same thing with D12 and Black Hippy, they can only be compared in part by what they do, not their messages, content, or styles. I feel like Slaughterhouse fails miserable in diversity, they did better with diversity on their new album but it could have been executed better seeing how much they sacrificed for it. That's probably the only improvement I see from the Slaughterhouse LP to WOTH.

Joell's a beast. Right now I'd say he's easily the best in Slaughterhouse. He really brings personality, they all could have done much better on WOTH.

Out of all their solo works from way back until the present though, Royce is my number 1 from SH. He shows more diversity and story telling in his solo / BME work than he does with SH. I dunno why SH didn't make any tracks like The Reunion. Woulda been dope as hell.

That's not their style though, that's why. Joe is my favorite doe, Joell will probably become my favorite eventually.

But Slaughterhouse isn't you...I've noticed when they come together as a group they are short sided and close minded.

If we are talking terms of success there is no chance black hippy will beat d12 however talent wise black hippy is certainly better.

He's one of my favorite rapper right now. I'd buy his album before I'd buy a Slaughterhouse album. I just know he won't push the 200k.

Section.80, Overly Dedicated, Control System, and Habits & Contradictions having some amazing production though, so I wouldn't exactly say that. The beats on these albums are far more innovative than anything present on Devil's Night with their modern/jazz influenced beats. The Devil's Night production was simply a mixture of the Eminem style beats used from The Slim Shady LP and The Marshall Mathers LP. A new sound wasn't created every album like Black Hippy has done so far, they merrily followed Eminem's guidance. There are beats on Section.80 that are so abstract and creative in the presentation that are able to tell a story and provide entertainment value while getting a mix of emotions at once. On Devil's Night most of the beats were made to bang in a car and have a feeling of anger and aggressiveness. I just get more feeling from the production on every Black Hippy album in comparison to D12's, they never really found a signature sound. Anyway, I could understand someone preferring the production Devil's Night, but I don't.

Just personally speaking i find the production on Devils Night much more better than anything by Black Hippy i think it's probably the 3rd best produced album ever from the Shady/Aftermath/G Unit camp ever. The beats on there were pretty much timeless. Lyrically and concept wise yeah fair enough Black Hippy i think even most D12 fans will admit that.

Yeah on Devils Night Eminem went into beast mode when it came to beat making on that album this was his peak as far as beat making 2000-2004 era. Black Hippy do have good production too no doubting that it's just i feel Devils Night production is much better than their albums.
