I'm not saying the album sucks, it's good, just expected more.
It's because people never heard the Lace Up mixtape, or the Half Naked and Almost Famous songs. And some of them didn't know MGK did that "inspiring underdog music" and probably just disliked him because of Wild Boy or his "wîgger" image.
So yeah.. I loved this because it was exactly what I expected. A really solid and good debut album, and he didn't compromise anything. It's the same kind of music he was doing on his mixtapes, and I like that he sticks to his roots.
