There's a difference between saying a certain rapper is nice and cool (Wayne) and saying that a certain rapper (Eminem) is one of the most talented rappers of all time.

And who are hip hop heads? This is something you're totally wrong about, I know A LOT of people who are down with underground music and they give Em props and consider him a great artist.
And I brought up rappers because they know what is good and what's not and they don't give a fuck what another "member" might say if he disagreed with them, and I didn't bring up mainstream kiss ass rappers. I already said Kool G Rap, Rakim, Kurupt, Slug, Lupe and many more gave Em props.

Most people who claim to be hip hop heads on the internet just because they did a couple researches end up being 16 year old boys, I am not discrediting them but it's also kinda stupid to say there are hip hop heads!
Some people call Wayne's music as the greatest shit they ever heard, some people say Ja Rule is a legend, it's their opinion and you can't change it.

For me, Jay's been terrible the past 6 years, Em's Relapse easily beats American Gangster and BP3
People are just too caught up with accent that they forgot how incredible the production was, hoe top notch the lyricism on it was, everything we'd expect from Em we found on that album.

Lol when I say hip-hop heads I mean people who have been discussing rap for YEARS on rap boards, not some faggot on a roc fan board who has a wu tang avy. And what I said about rappers commenting on Wayne is true.. When's the last time a respectable rapper commented on Blu lol.. Eminem used to be a very respected lyricist and he still has a huge mainstream presence so obviously people are going to complement him.

As for Relapse being better than AG, I seriously disagree. If you're strictly looking at rhyme schemes, sure Relapse beats it but from a lyrical standpoint I don't think there's a contest. Relapse is very well produced/mixed though.

And don't forget wayne only sells a lot of copies during the first week, like 1 milli first week and 170k second week... Em can sell during the 10th week.

he still sells a lot though so sales obviously don't equal talent..

On Jay biting or paying homage - I think he initially was a biter.

And then when he got called out he said he was paying homage.

And on his recent work he actually pays homage. Mainly to lose the biter tag.
I'm not tryin to be rude, but I sincerely wanna fuck the taste out of your mouth

I think the "paying homage" was a little excessive but there's no way he was biting him. Nobody is stupid enough to constantly bite one of the biggest rappers of all time.

I definitely don't think he was biting Biggie and I thought it was pretty obvious that he was paying homage. Other instances? Idk. Didn't R.A use that rape and pillage a village line on Uncommon Valor? When Jay used it on Monster I automatically thought of it lol

WORD Damn I was thinking about that the other day. The pillage your village line always reminded me of Uncommon Valor.

Also, Eminem does it all the time. You wouldn't say Eminem was biting Slick Rick would you?

So how did this topic go from Jay to 50 to Eminem? I agree with Accor tho, Eminem isn't generally considered the best rapper to others, he probably was like 12 years ago, but not today.

This is still wrong. The fact that he made Recovery and got right back in the scene just made him gain even more respect, almost every rapper agrees with that.

still a lot of rappers consider Eminem as the best ever.
And I'm talking about their interviews from 2010-2012

Ok? Dude rappers compliment each other all the time.

You know how many times Eminem complimented Lil Wayne? That doesn't mean anything. Generally speaking, many hip hop heads find Nas, Jay, and someone like Andre 3000 to be the GOATs.

Lol no. Eminem, Jay, Nas are usually the 3 most named names. That's why he won polls, etc, etc. Denying it is straight being delusional. To this day, he's the biggest rapper ever, he sold the most records and he's still loved by a lot of his old fans. (It's true that some turned their back on him though, but his core fanbase is still there for the most part)

That's why Relapse, which wasn't really appealing to people who didn't know him before, still sold like 2 millions records. Eminem is considered as one of the best alive, if not the best amongst Jay and Nas. That's it.
