On the bright side, Drake has one less retarded listener/fan. Oh and Take Care is EASILY better than anything B.o.B has done or will do. Take Care will most likely be considered a classic in retrospect, I can just feel it with this album. It literally has no filler.

Drake is a pussy faggot and Take Care is so bad and soft it's not even funny. I wouldn't talk about Drake in the Hip Hop domain, this album wasn't hip hop, or rnb.

Every song sounds the same and has the same vibe. He wastes good beats, and he's such a disgrace for rap. I wish he was never signed to YMCMB because he was so much better when he was underground and didn't go soft and sing on all his songs yet.

Oh and B.o.B not only is a better artist, but also a better musician. He makes more enjoyable music, he makes his own beats and can play instruments, they're both kinda soft but B.o.B can go psycho at least. Adventures of Bobby Ray > Take Care/Thank Me Later.

Oh and 3/4 of Drake's fans are virgins who are waiting to get love or females with no pubic hair.

Ghostface nailed it : http://bigghostnahmean.blogspot.com/ , if you haven't read it here's a sample.

But yo...how the first words that this nigga got the nerve to utter on this muthafuckin album gon be "I think I killed errybody in the game last year man"? Pardon me son? Word? You mean the same year that Kanye dropped another classic album in...while yo overrated ass uhhh....DID NOT? That year b? You mean the year when niggas predicted you was gon do a milli the first week out n you did 450k instead...n then a few days later Eminem dropped n he did like 750k in HIS first week n kept YOU from gettin back to the top of the charts? The same year that Em n Jigga won all the Grammys YOU was spose to take home? THAT year son? Oh.

But I won't hate on Drake though, i'd waste my time on this.

You know that Ghostface review is a troll and completely for entertainment purposes, right? If you took his review seriously and on face value, then it would have to be considered biased and laughably retarded. But it's done to make the reader laugh, and is not a credible source.

All of this has been argued and shot down on SL. There's 25 rapping verses out of 40 so it's definitely a Hip Hop album. Either way good music is good music, end of. I don't care if it's R&B/Hip-Hop it's incredible music with great lyricism and fantastic production. I could care less if it features a bit of R&B. I mean, people act like R&B is a bad genre, R&B when done by a talented artist is amazing.

>Singing/rapping about women

Yawn. "I’m hearing all the jokes, I know that they tryna push me, I know that showing emotion don’t make me a pussy, I know I don’t make music for niggas who don’t get pussy, so those the ones I count on to diss me or overlook me." - Drake.

Lighters is softer and shittier than anything on this album. Take From Me is more melodramatic and shittier than anything on this album. With that said, BME is nowhere near Take Care so I shouldn't be comparing them at all :'''''''''(

I could care less if B.o.B makes his own beats etc... or about the fact that he can go "psycho". People seem to believe that hardcore > soft music which is really horrible logic. There are many other means of judging music and that should not be one of the principal ways of doing so. AoBR was the biggest disappointment ever, go ask Satire about it :'''''''( Take Care is a masterpiece and TML is a great album as well. So Far Gone was fantastic as well.

It's clear you can't appreciate Drake's innovative style of Hip Hop so it's cool. I use to think BME was a great album too, then I snapped the fuck out of it. I pray you can have a breakthrough like me.

I dare you to find another fault in this album besides "FUK DIS ALBIM R SOOOOO SOFFFFT!!!1111". Yeah you can't because nobody has yet.

But.. Why? :'(

Why can't you accept the fact this album is such a big faggot move? For every flaw found on this album (and god knows they are a lot of them) you will write a 100 lines argument telling me how my opinion is wrong and how you are right and comparing it to Eminem's work.

Innovative Hip Hop? How is singing half of your verses innovative? :'( How is being the softest faggot in the industry innovative?

Wow. So much poetry in this quote. Is he Tupac's child or something? :'(

He's not showing emotion, he's litterally making a whole album based on his gay ass and fake emotions. He does display real emotion though. "Ouhh Lil Wayne is so.. hmmm so good ouh.." that was real and honest.

What a clever line.

Why are you crying?

Do me a favor and point out all of the flaws you find in this album. I'm very to eager to see it. And yes I will write a 200 line argument telling you how wrong you are because you'll be hard-pressed to find legitimate flaws on this album. Of course, I'll compare it to Eminem's recent work since he's the perfect, hardcore rapper everyone looks up to.

Read what CREAM wrote. No one mixes singing and rapping as flawlessly as Drake does. Drake is one of the more innovative artists out there. Oh look he's calling Drake soft. Fuck me, what a relevant and original insult.

Wow. So much poetry in this quote. Is he Tupac's child or something? :'(

No, Drake is better than 2Pac.

Are you saying Take Care is not emotional? Wat. His emotions are not fake at all, they're extremely genuine, we're not discussing Lighters here are we? If Marvin's Room isn't genuine emotion then :'''''''(

I don't know why I keep on writing/arguing when you didn't say anything new or substantial here. Don't know the point of that last sentence but ok. Oh and yes that line was clever. It was a fantastic line, even VBV praised it.

Honestly, I was just hating for the sake of it and to make this thread a little funnier. I'm not saying that to excuse anything,I still think Drake is soft and I will always think it, but I've liked this more than Thank Me Later. (inb4lookhechangedhismind)

In fact, there are some good songs to listen to before going to sleep. But I'm really surprised to see that people think Drake is actually better than Eminem or something. If you want to compare them, then do it right.

I think I like the "poppiest" song Drake ever made. (Find your love) He's a decent artist to me, but this album is already getting overrated as fuck (AOTY? Really?) and I hate that. That's why I also hate from times to times on WTT , because they were overrated as FUCK. Great album, YEAH. but it doesn't deserve to be called classic. Just like this album, it's good but nowhere a classic.

Drake's singing > Eminem's
Eminem's rapping > Drake's.

Drake is a better singer but nowhere near a better rapper. And he will never be. And it's true that he mixes singing with rap and it does have a good vibe, but I can't take him seriously as a rapper.

@Cream, I hate Hip Hop Dubstep (Can't stand who gon' stop me.) but I love Reggae/Hip Hop such as Distant Relatives.

I agree, everything that isn't hardcore rap sucks.

haha.

Considering the market is over-saturated with softer hip hop, this excuse doesn't work. That notion would apply if a aggressive album is overlooked because it doesn't suit the current trend in hip hop. Not even WTT was an aggressive album, in fact it was far from it, but it receieved recognition and acclaim because it was a good album. We're in 2011 right now dun, hip hop has completely shifted, no one is gonna bypass an album because of the direction of the album.

It's a cop out to try and use that excuse for someone's opinion of the album.

You wanna know my opinion? Drake's albums sucks. For starters it's not even a hip hop record, from the outset this dude tries to get you in a mood for love, which can be ignored if there's quality material, but simply, there's far too much singing on the album for it to be considered even a hip-pop album, it's simply not hip anything. Happening to rhyme every now and then doesn't make you a rapper, or it a rap album, otherwise countless Country singers who also use profuse rhymes in their lyrics could label themselves as rappers, rhyming doesn't mean rapping.

Drake is an artist who's gonna sound really good when he first comes out because he's fresh and his sound is novel and interesting, but the trouble was he had no charisma and his formula was predictable. He ran out of things to talk about after one EP, as good as that was. The album is full of fillers may sound appealing to most now, but just like Thank Me Later, within a few months it's gonna be overlooked. This album is no different to his first.

The reason why people don't jump on someone like B.o.B when he does his singing and crossover tracks is simple, well for one they do, otherwise B.o.B wouldn't come out the way he did on his last mixtape and shout so loudly about being No Genre. Anyway, the other reason is simple, B.o.B is NOT competing. B.o.B is releasing, but not competing, Drake clearly is, and when he comes out saying that the throne is for the taking, people are gonna stand up. If Drake came out with tracks that sound half as good I'm on One, this album would be dope. But he didn't, he went FAR too left.

The initial response to his first album was great, but within months the flaws became more and more evident his formula was noticeably stale. Then Drake went in and recorded this album because of that response, and came out saying this would be different. It's the same, and within a few months the response will be the same. Then Drake will come out with his next album saying what he was before this.

Oh yeah, RIP to the Overweight Lover too. We always had nothing but love for you Mr. Myers.
