I donno man, to me Rakim was marvelous on Dont sweat the techinique, he talks bout religion wars morals and his metaphors and rhyming skills are unfuckable.

But 2pac in the sence of lyrics, he knew how to get to people and dedicated most of his good rap songs to important topics that would touch a lot of people.

cant really decide but I chose my definate favourite.

i voted Biggie cause his lyrics are crazy and no one really matches them.
i heard rakim was great but haven't heard enough of him to tell.

I have to go with Tupac since I just think he was the best.
"I do say things that I think will shock people. But I don't do things to shock people. I'm not trying to be the next Tupac, but I don't know how long I'm going to be on this planet. So while I'm here, I might as well make the most of it."

First of all, Eazy-E and Dre didn't/don't write, lol. Second of all Rakim shits on them all, lyrically, no question.
