These awards are a joke.

Surprised that Em isn't nominated for Best Live Performer.

I can't recall any rapper making as much noise in 010, or 011 in that department as him.

He's getting constant praise for his live performances lately.

In all honesty I don't think he's much better live now than he was in 09. A little, but not a lot. Still a lot of awkward movements.

He does still look awkward, like he's lost his internal / natural rhythm and doesn't know what to do with himself. It's mainly just his legs actually. Since he's come back he never stands up straight. He's always slightly bending his knees or kicking and it looks odd.

But the overall effect of the shows, I think, are powerful.

But he was pretty good in 2009. I know he's looked weird and awkward since he's come back but his "3 a.m." performance on Jimmy Kimmel was pretty bad-ass. I liked that performance style better too, the stiff / spaztic movements fit the Relapse delivery / manic lyricism.

But he's being praised for the overall effect. He's putting a shitload of energy in and rambling through a huge set-list, and I think people are just feeling an explosive presence, due to how much energy he's putting into it. He's owning every festival he's at.
