1. Tech N9ne - All 6's & 7's
this album got me into tech. was never really able to feel n9na before this, but now im a definitely a technician. its a long album but i dont feel like there are weak tracks on it. just awesome for me. still bumping this. favorite songs: so lonely, am i a psycho, technicians, fans.

2. Lupe Fiasco - Lasers
you gotta love lupe. his lyrics and concepts are amazing. and i even like the production. songs like letting go and beautiful lasers just sound good for me.
favorite songs: words i never said, state run radio, all black everything.

3. Common - The Dreamer/The Believer
this feels like a real album, very coherent, great tunes. no i.d did a hell of a job here, and im really feeling common as well.
favorite songs: blue sky, ghetto dreams, sweet.

4. Brotha Lynch Hung- Coathanga Strangla
gotta love some horrorcore shit, and BLH knows how to deliver. rhymes might not be incredible, but its a great listen for me.
favorite songs: spit it out, friday night, i dont think my momma ever loved me.

5.Tech N9ne - Welcome to Strangeland
cant get enough of tech. simple as that.
getting out 2 long albums the same year, with this quality. thats amazing for me.
favorite songs: who do i catch, retrogression, gods.

top release for me is the BME ep.

LMAO!!! I'm on the November release and got a vote hahaha, cool. thanks I guess :b: :y:

01. Tech N9ne - All 6&7
Favourite Song: The Boogieman (feat. Stokley & First Degree)
I think this album was absolute wonder, from star to finish its a trip. Needless to say, that contained a song featuring Lil Wayne & T-Pain that I consider one of the album's best. This album is on my top 5 EVER. maybe even the only Hip Hop album on that list. Such a piece

02. The Game - The R.E.D. Album
Favourite Song: Martians VS Goblins (feat. Tyler The Creator)
What I trully loved about this album was that its very reminiscent of the Golden age of "new old school hip hop". Like the 2004 - 2006 times. Similar to Tech's album deal, on this The Chris Brown feature turned out to be one of my favourite songs, beautiful shit. I enjoyed this a lot.

03. Common - The Dreamer/The Believer
Favourite Song: Sweet

04. 50 Cent - The Big 10
Favourite Song: Shootin Guns (feat. Kidd Kidd)

05. Snoop Dogg - Doggumentary
Favourite Songs: Peer Pressure (feat. Tract Nelson) & Somethin Like This Night (feat. Gorillaz)

hey, Big Props to Lello for setting this up, great job mate :y:

Top 5 favourite studio albums:

1st The Roots - Undun (2011) - Along with How I Got Over, Undun is easily the best project since 2002's Phrenology by The Roots. I'm a big Alternative Hip-Hop fan so an obvious choice as hip-hop album of the year.

2nd Beastie Boys - Hot Sauce Committee Part Two (2011) - Been a big Beastie Boys fan since a being a kid, this is the best project i've heard from them for over 10 years. Make Some Noise has probably the best video of the year.

3rd Jay-Z & Kanye West - Watch The Throne (2011)
4th Common - The Dreamer, The Believer (2011)
5th Atmosphere - Family Sign (2011)

Top 3 other releases:

1st Bad Meets Evil - Hell The Sequel EP (2011)
2nd Ta-ku - Day & Night EP (2011)
3rd John Legend & The Roots - Live From Soho (2011)

1.) Section.80 - Kendrick Lamar

Dope album, sounds amazing, and has some orignal aspects.

2.) All 6's & 7's - Tech N9ne

Amazing flow and some great concepts, it also brought this beast to the public.

3.) Radioactive - Yelawolf

Underrated album IMO, some real dope concepts and lyrics, some original ones as well. It did however have its low point, Good Girl.

4.) Elmatic - Elzhi

Dope lyrics and shows what hip hop used to be and should be but he didn't make any orignial ideas and was out shown by the original, illmatic. Good shit though.

5.) Success Is Certain - Royce da 5'9"

Nice album, a bit short and had some lows though along with almost no original thoughts but was interesting and enjoyable.

Other Projects:

Hell: The Sequel - Bad Meets Evil
Black Cocaine - Mobb Deep

Honorable Mentions:

Welcome to Strangeland - Tech N9ne
The Dreamer, The Believer - Common
Childish Gambino - Camp
Long term Mentality - Ab-Soul
The Red Album - Game
Hot Sauce Committee Part Two - Beatie Boys
SetBacks - SchoolBoy Q
Follow Me Home - Jay Rock

Piece of Shit of the Year:

Tha Carter IV - Lil Wayne
