Canibus - Lunar Deluge

Whatever you think of Canibus... he can still come out with some incredible stuff. I know a lot of people think he's a psuedo-intellectual and that he often doesn't make sense and that's sometimes true; but this is a rare focused occasion where it all actually makes sense, and is deep...

He really hit upon something with "how can there be free will, without the freedom to feel", as emotions lead actions so if you don't have control of what you feel how can you have true free will... which is a brilliant line to sum that up. And his flow gets very badass when it intensifies.

"My intent to present the most intensive, lung-splitting, tongue-twisting sentence ever historically recorded to present" - that part and the bit just before it is so addictive.

I love neat intense focus like that.

When it seems he isn't making sense it usually means he's making a weird metaphor. It's sometimes a bit difficult to understand, or at least it is for me a lot of the time. RapGenius is your friend. He's not the kind to not pay attention to the rhetoric that he's writing. At least recently. If you're talking about the science and stuff that he put in his old battle raps, you're probably right. In the past 5-6 years though he has been more meaningful in his placement of words etc. I don't know if you guys have ever heard of Aesop Rock but kinda like that in a way, only not nearly as random. Yeah I agree this song is dope.
