In order for an album to be considered "classic," it'd have to be the absolute best material the artist can produce at the time. But, it'd also have to really impact the genre.

A lot of people will argue that Eminem has roughly three classic albums...but I'd say he arguably only has one: The Marshall Mathers LP.

I agree although I think TES is his only classic. The other two are very good, though.

A classic doesn't really have to touch/effect me at all and I definitely don't have to relate to it.. Illmatic is a classic and I'm not a black thug in Queens.. Hell Hath No Fury is arguably a classic and I'm not a cocaine dealer.. It just has to be very, very good. It also has to be timeless. Something that I'll view the same years after it's released.
