His record label announced that he will be doing a song with Lecrae so his music will have something to do with his religion lol

Oh, we know. But he said he's still gonna be raw. Just listen to his Westwood freestyle after that. He won't be a christian rapper, he said it a lot. :y:

Haven't heard that I'm gonna go listen - he is a sick artist, the first song I heard from him was the one where he just went off on basically all the types of people that listen to his music, made me lol

Yeah.. Ill Mind 5 I guess. He's good, his recent interviews clearly show that he wants to make music with a message behind on his next album, but without really falling into the Christian/preachy rapper stereotype.

So he'll probably have a few raw/rappity rap songs on his next album, but probably more heartfelt stuff like "Where Will I Go" "Nocturnal Rainbows" or "Pillow Man"

The preaching is "good" if it's executed like on Ill Mind 5. I don't mind that song and actually love it.

I lose a certain amount of respect for anyone who believes in God.

To be perfectly honest.

He's developing that 'religious arrogance' as I like to call it, where he acts like he knows God exists, when he cannot possible know, and looks down on everyone who doesn't.

I'm losing interest in him, tbh.

Well, that is stupid. Every rapper you listen to believes in god. It doesn't reflect in their music.

They mention it in passing, I cringe, and then forget about it.

Hopsin's going on and on about it.

^ That interview is like two months old. He doesn't even mention god that much, he did like 3/4 interviews where he clearly said that he's now christian and that's it.

There are like one or two lines on Ill Mind 5 mentioning god.. I think people are quick to hate on Hopsin (not talking about you here) and I don't understand why.

Couldn't care less. Just want some good music. Hopefully it's not overdone in the music though.

That's very stupid, man. Should I lose respect for you for believing Manchester City will ever make an impression in Champions League?

That's not comparable man.

A football team is not a scientific notion, a big question, a big 'thinker's question' of which your outcome of reasoning depends on your ability to analyze and, disregard superstition and wishful thinking and many childish impulses to hang your life on.

So I get that, I also lose respect for somebody who believes in god, on an intellectual level. Just like I lost a little bit for Em when I knew he truly believed.

I just think all true intellectuals who dwell on that issue, come to the logical realization of reason. For somebody to believe in something so absurd, such a bold claim, such a huge idea and let it affect their life and how they value ideas... COMPLETELY blindly and baseless... just going off of tradition and mythology, it's just very very, dangerous and, degrading.
