2013 might be hip hop's biggest year in awhile

Postby slimfan94 » Dec 26th, '12, 08:07

Just by how the biggest names in hip hop are releasing albums. Not saying Wayne is still a good rapper but IANAHBII in feb, possibly Tha Carter V, Ems album, probably one from Ye, possibly one from Jay, a Drake album, 50's album, probably a SH and Yella album, and a Pusha album. And that's just a few. Will 2013 be the biggest year hip hop has seen, just in terms of sales, in at least a decade?

Edit: how'd I forget about tech as well

In terms of quality, I can't see 2013 being better than 2012 (except maybe for kanye's album) , the artists will sell more CD's but that's all.

I rly hope I'm wrong but we had a fucking good year with LIG, GKMC, The Heist, Live from the underground, control system,...
I can even see Jesus Piece being better than lil wayne's albums.

I just hope that Nas and Common will actually start working on that collaborative album they mentioned.

His last album sucked. I don't give a fuck if it's enjoyable music, it's shit when put against other great rap albums.

I think his last album was way better than relapse, recovery and 90 % of the other recent hip hop albums.
Kanye isn't my favorite artist but imo, this album was maniac, a fascinating accomplishment, maybe not everyone's taste but for me the album was a masterpiece even if I didn't really enjoy listening to it

Well, that's your opinion.

I thought Relapse was better, by far.

I could have enjoyed it more if eminem didn't have that accent... not a fan of that kind of voices :sweating:

LOL, dude stfu. I'm starting to think your knowledge of hip-hop is very small and any statements you make shouldn't be taken seriously.

Please, tell me, which albums does MBDTF not do well against? Fucking Relapse? An album full of Eminem trying to disgust the listener by saying dumb shit like his dad raped him? Or Recovery? The mixtape-turned-album full of shit production and dumb lyrics?

You can be cool at times, but posts like these, that just show your obvious hate, piss me off.ee
