i had a school trip in sixth grade that had a commute of over an hour so my mom bought me a walkman and i got to pick two CDs. before then i had never heard american music. I picked up the MMLP and JKwon's Hood Hop loll. Tipsy had just come out and i wanted to bump that song hardcore. the juxtaposition of those two CDs was surreal haha. the third CD i got was Ludacris's Chicken & Beer, but it was edited. worst way to waste 15 bucks :facepalm

First albums I remember getting, with my parents money, was Michael Jackson's "Invincible" (I wrote all over it with a sharpie right when I got home because I though you could do that and it wouldn't mess up lol) and Eminem Show, which was the edited version lol
