I don't think Birdman cares about Soulja Boy's artistry, he's a business man. He makes money.

I think it's funny how snobby the rap culture is. I would do what Soulja Boy does in a heartbeat. He makes big $$$ off of licensing and shows at the expense of some nerds hating him on the internet. I hate his music, but it's existence doesn't bother me. If I had the money to sign Soulja Boy and knew he'd make me millions, I would.

Of course, labels that aren't just about money (Shady, GOOD) would be stupid, but Birdman doesn't care. More power to him.
