Lupe Fiasco Criticizing Violent music; Refers to 50, Eminem, Dr Dre and Royce

"Violent music (and all violent media) effectively says its "ok" to be violent. It provides positive reinforcement for negative actions."
https://twitter.com/LupeFiasco/status/3 ... 5751094273

"If you rap and make violent music then own up to it. Stop hiding behind "art imitating life" as a way to evade the guilt."
https://twitter.com/LupeFiasco/status/3 ... 7542091776

""How the hell you gonna tell this man not 2 be violent?, Cuz he dont need to go the same route that I did"

-Eminem & Dr. Dre "Choices""
https://twitter.com/LupeFiasco/status/3 ... 4728303616

"Sorry..."Bad Meets Evil"..."
https://twitter.com/LupeFiasco/status/3 ... 7473804290

""Guilty Conscious"...sorry...lol"
https://twitter.com/LupeFiasco/status/3 ... 9856794624

"correct title of the song aside, U know what I meant!
The issue stands that violent music puts violence into this world one way or another."
https://twitter.com/LupeFiasco/status/3 ... 9471898624

"It creates the atmosphere that violence is an acceptable means to an end. Agree or disagree doesnt really matter at this point honestly."
https://twitter.com/LupeFiasco/status/3 ... 6434821122

"But to not even acknowledge the possibility that violent music has even the most minute effect on violence in the world is frankly bullshit."
https://twitter.com/LupeFiasco/status/3 ... 9415164928

Everything started after this 50 Cent's interview:
"50 said that "art imitating life" thing in his interview on CBS Sunday Morning"

Eh, he's not completely wrong. I think he's generalizing a bit, but it's definitely true that people hide behind the idea that gangster rap isn't a glamorization of that lifestyle. If they were more realistic about it, the criticism would be unfounded.

Chief Keef always keeps it #300. What a legend!
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.
