I'm getting a lot of "meh" from this class. I'll have to check out a few of the ones that I haven't heard, but yeah...I'm not too impressed. That could be due to ignorance though, so we'll see.

These dollar sign names look corny as fuck when placed on a magazine together.

I only know Action Bronson and Joey Badass but both of them deserve recognition. I've never felt like checking out Chief Keef's music. After seeing him threating Lupe Fiasco for no real reason at all, I can't help but think that he's primitive and stupid...

Actually it's kinda weird seeing a true emcee like Action being surrounded by all these weirdly dressed "new kids on the block"... Thought he was a little too hardcore for that haha.

EDIT: Just saw that Joey is only 18. He has bright future ahead of him!

I think Schoolboy Q and Ab-Soul could be two of the most overrated rappers in recent memory.

Due to their strong affiliation with Kendrick.

I'm not sure, I was pretty late to the party and listened to Section.80 from this site. And the album slowly grew on me.

But everybody I know in real life that listens to Hip Hop is in love with him.

Definitely; where did Kendrick's and their hype in general come from?

From Dre's cosign awhile back; it made people aware of him (not to mention he's talented). Fast forward a few years and Swimming Pools ended up becoming one of the year's biggest singles.

Plus, there's all the other popular rappers who had him on their albums like Drake (and vice versa), ASAP Rocky, Game (he was bigger at the time anyways), and yeah. It's the grind, bruh. Though I figure Dre was what gave him that initial push.

Every single member of Black Hippy has made the list now :flutter:

Great list.

Except Trinidad James and Kirko Bangs, everyone on that list can spit. Action Bronson though :y:

yep they are.

They are very good but the rest of black hippy is to Kendrick what D12 & G-unit are to Eminem and 50 Cent.
