So check this out.......
My name is DJ R-Tistic, from Gardena. I used to produce for Black Wall Street in 2004-2005, and around that time, DJ Dave, who goes by Dave Free now, gave me a mixtape demo from his young boy from Compton who rapped and was trying to link up with BWS. I listened, and dude was pretty dope. He was similar to Game, Billboard/4-Bent, Friday, and Life who were all from Compton, and used that East Coast style of rapping. That was the trend on that side of town back then. I kept the mixtape just because I felt dude had potential.
Three years ago, the same rapper started gettin more and more buzz, but appeared to change his name. I happened to find the mixtape randomly. And here's the picture of it that I took that same day.... http://twitter.yfrog.com/z/h0xoiagj
At this time, I can't find the CD aaaanywhere...........but......................I saved it to my computer the same day I took that picture. And.....I still have it all.
I DJ'd at the TDE Showcase at SXSW last weekend, and talked to Kendrick backstage afterwards at the Beats by Dre headquarters. I told him that I still have the Y.N.I.C....he laughed and said that's dope. He didn't tell me not to share it or to get rid of it, so I plan to upload it to my website this week, mainly to help promote/hype up the fact that I'm DJing at Paid Dues this weekend in San Bernardino.
I Googled hard to see if ANYBODY had it online...I feel like it's no way in the world that I'm the only person out there who has it and is willing to put it online, but eff it....why not! I saw this thread and was in shock that people knew about it, and have been seeking it. So yep.....in a few days, I got this for y'all, no question about it."
