That's why I'm not into hip-hop much anymore.. it seems like a lot of the artists just want money and get sluts to have sex with. A lot of music artists make shit songs, and it's almost become the norm now, which is sad. Not just in hip-hop but music in general too. It seems like the people that still care about the music, are people from way back in the day.

I am and I'm not worried about Eminem at the same time. I'm worried that he may start making music just to appeal to the masses, but at the same time I'm not worried about it because I think to myself "Look at him, he just doesn't seem like the type to do that". This 8th album from him will speak volumes. He's got a lot of pressure on him to get it right, not just popularity wise, but form his fans that were there back in 1999 when he came out. I just don't want him to ever forget why people started liking him in the first place. He was the rebel that said what he wanted, when he wanted and didn't give a shit. That's what made him appealing in the first place. He was an out of place, shock value rebel.

It's more so the the commercialization of gangsta rap being the most dominant form of rap in the mainstream. People don't want to hear conscious rap in the mainstream. Which is why we have the Lil Wayne's, Nicki Minaj's, Jay-Z's and others as the most popular Hip-Hop artists. Kendrick Lamar, Lupe Fiasco are good but are not as dominant as these other rappers. People complain about Hip-Hop image, sex, money, misogyny, violence but when some who is conscious comes along the majority don't want to listen.
