To get it off his chest. It's basically an open letter to his Mom. Sway asked him about the song and he cut him off saying "I kinda said everything I want to say about it in the song, so I'm going to leave it at that" and ended that question.

A music video doesn't break Em's will, though. It's a music video, he could perfectly do one imo. He can just not talk about the song in interviews and such.
