I´m just saying, i see Lighters more apealing to the mainstream public than LTWYL, sound wise.
Yeah but Lighters has way more swearing than LTWLY. Therefore it will be played less on the radio.
They censor the songs on the radio though, so the swearing doesn't matter.
And in the UK this time after LTWYL was released it was already in the top 10, whilst Lighters isn't in the top 40 yet.
That was kinda my point. No one wants to hear a song full of bleeps, especially that long part full of cock and prick. That's why they will play it less often on the radio, in my opinion.[/quote]
Yeah, it might hurt the airplay a bit. I always thought that could've been one of the reasons No Love didn't do well on radio (I was never expecting No Love to be a massive radio hit, but I honestly heard it like once a month, which just wasn't enough, so it did terrible in the charts).
It's climbing well in the UK now. A pop group called Take That released their album the same day, and all their songs were ahead of Lighters yesterday, but now all their songs are falling down the chart and Lighters is still climbing, which is good.
Lighters is also top 20 on world iTunes.
