Okay, let's first get it out there that I'm not like most of you here.
Sure, I grew up in the streets, homeless, knew abuse, neglect and all of those other ill-flavors of life, but I'm older now - yeah much older (don't go there) and I have five children (divorced).
I skipped from music to music, but - I dunno.. it did not click with me. Sappy, twangy - I don't want none of that buzzing in my ears.
Then I heard Eminem, posted on his smaller forum now and then - started listening to his work, and BAM - hooked.
I'm a tough person, almost crossed that line into the shadows a few times - but, pulled myself back.
I'm quiet - which should not be mistaken for weakness - but fair.
Yeah I know I'm probably your parents age, but it's not about the years in your life that make you who you are, it's the life that you've lived. You know?
Peace out and yeah - I got a good job after fighting for it, it's a story all by itself - but yeah - here I am, hoping to share.
You know my kids think it's cool that I listen to Hip Hop and what can I say - it speaks to me. I love the word-play, the heart-felt ummmmphhhh - and the fearless beat that helps me step through my day.
