Could someone teach me about rap battles coz i wanna battle but i don't know how

Just start experimenting with words, watch how others on the site do it, start reading some of Rakim's lyrics or Eminems, although this won't neccesarily mean you will be able to rhyme like them, it should inspire you and give you ideas of how they might do it.

Like global, what rhymes with that, the obvious ones: Local, Noble, total, vocal, Postal, etc. But words that look a lot different can still rhyme with it, if you use the same vowel sounds. Like Old Bill, Flow ill, Hopeful, Cold chill, etc, etc. And even less obvious ones can too, if you use other rhyming words along with them, which would also make it a much more complex rhyme. Basically you need to try just rhyming for a little while before you should have a battle, just to get used to playing with words, and using your imagination. Practice makes perfect (Well, practice makes ya better, lol), so don't let anyone tell you you're shit, just keep going if you're interested in trying it.

Post a few rhymes in the Creative Writing section, and people will give you constructive criticism and some pointers on how to improve your rhyme skills. You are not the only battle novice on the site, so you could call out another beginner for a battle. Give it a go, I wanna see how ya get on.

A bar is in music terms some people think it's one line, some people say two lines, in most text battles a bar will mean 2 lines, as it does on this site. Bar made a thread about the house rules, check it out.

3-0 ko means its a knockout if someone gets 3 straight votes before there opponent get any its over...

same with 4-1...if the votes go that way its over

and 5 should be self explanatory...first to 5 votes wins
