because i honestly hate text battling. you lose the entire aspect of captivating a crowd with your delivery and flow, ya know? It's a travesty to me

It's usually 8 or 16 bars. I've done both. Text is ok to really get the mechanics of it down, but nothing beats winning a live battle. Shit is second to very few things in this world.
