I only smoke Sativa. Now, I haven't tried absolutely everything but so far my favorite for getting shit done and smoking throughout the day is Purple Haze. I make sure to always keep a good supply of it because for me it's like no other strain. It greatly amplifies my focus and shuts off all of the unnecessary clutter in my head. I drive better, I think clearer, etc. Definitely 10/10.

Next to that, for just sitting on the couch and playing video games or going to sleep, it's all about Lemon Drop. Of course that's typically partially indica, which is what you get the sedative feeling from, but I like it primarily for its euphoric effect. I find that it makes me want to just sit outside and soak in life, which is why this strain is specifically great for joints. Whereas I typically would prefer one of my bongs.

aHAHAHAA ^^ Nice man!

I only smoke about 1-3 times every two weeks so I dont really know what type of strain I get, Back when I would smoke about a gram/2days my dealer would always say he has some white widow or orange kush and shit like that and every single time I got it from him it looked exactly the same as last batch lol, but I dont complain I like it, just made me a tad sleepy! I would like to try some bud that doesnt knock me out as fast!

Indica strains are definitely more sedative.

Around 40 years ago, growers started hybridizing their predominately Sativa strains with Indica. This was mainly due to the fact that Indica is smaller, bushier, and fairly hardy. So, most of the domestic marijuana in the United States went from Sativa to Indica/Sativa hybrids. This caused a fairly widespread change in the nature of "stoniness" in domestic marijuana. Things aren't as bad now, with the Medical growers using (primarily Dutch) seeds that range from almost pure Sativa, to pure Indica, and a variety of hybrids in between. Cheap stuff is a different story though.

You're in Texas? I would think that most of the weed you're getting is coming from Mexico. That's not to say that all of it looks like the picture I posted, because you CAN get higher quality marijuana than brick from Mexico. The problem is that it's not as diverse anymore as domestic, due to the fact that things have changed here in the U.S. with the growth of the medical industry.

So if your dealer is getting weed with different strains, but it all looks the same, and there's no change in buzz? It's because it's all the same stuff, and either he's getting lied to, or he's lying to you. White Widow is very easily identifiable. It's not going to look like Orange Kush.

Is your weed compressed at all? Or is it fluffy? How much does it cost? These are all things that can tell you what you're actually getting, and to some extent, where it's coming from.

Lol yeah There is a lot of Korn going around where I live, I am 100% sure that he didnt have white widow but I still buy from him because its the best available unless I wanted to drive like 30 mins to a better dealer. It's usually more compact with orange hairs, it is pretty sticky and I do like it but i hate the fact it puts me to sleep. I pay $20 a gram. I think it could be some dro or something but I know it isnt super high quality.

What does high quality bud run where you live?? Is it fairly easy to come by??

I live here in Houston, and as I said above, I almost completely stick to purely Sativa. You can definitely get your hands of premium grade stuff down here, you just have to be willing to pay a little bit more since I believe it's not locally grown. And $20 a gram is about the standard, regardless of strain. Unless you're getting into the 30%+ stuff, which will run you anywhere from $25 - $40 a gram. But I don't mess with strains that potent, you get to a certain point where it'll just tranquilize you

@ShAdY, I believe what you have is Strawberry Cough. You can do a google image search to confirm. We get a lot of it around this time of the year, and you can expect to see it around until Winter. But yes, it is Indica dominant, so I recommend it for playing video games or going to bed. Not a day-time strain.

edit: also, try to buy as much as you can at a time, since most dealers will give you a discount for buying in bulk. For instance my guy will only charge me $15 a gram if I buy an ounce. You get the idea. :y:

Damn Elision you know your shit haha! thats exactly what I have been getting, During the summer I buy it by the oz but while I'm in school I try to stay off it during school days,
thats cool you live in Houston im not surprised theres some great bud down there! I lived in Houston (by Spring Branch) the first 13 years of my life and my aunt is a coach at Cy-Fair so I go there a lot! lol.
The only thing I hate is that I went to a private school (my dad is a pastor) so I only know goodytoshoes who live there who would never even think about smoking weed haha! Oh well I'm sure i can find a dealer with some high grade stuff if I ask around enough!

Thanks for the info man.

Woah, no offence man but that has got to be the worst looking "weed" I've ever seen in my life. Looks more like the garbage that comes out from the rain gutters on the side of a house, lol.

Oh, lol, I was joking.

I wouldn't actually smoke Mexican Brick...it's terrible. When I did smoke, I only smoked manicured sinsemilla. Almost never compressed, and always beautiful. Mostly hydro, but some of the outdoor I've had knocks the shit out of some of the hydro in terms of an interesting sativa high.

The outdoor that I had couldn't be called a commercial strain though, really. Both times, they were lines passed down from generation to generation (plant, not people, lol). Old school shit, I guess. Great stuff...rivals some of the good out there in Humboldt, but it's nowhere near as prevalent around here.
