My Facebook's having a bit of an issue. Maybe for you too?

So I was checking Facebook on Mozilla, and it logged me out. So I was like "Dafuq" and I relogged and I got this message saying I've downloaded something that won't let me access my Facebook account... and it wants me to download McAfee Scan and Repair. Is this a virus or hack or something? I'm not that knowledgeable about computers and shit - I just use them.

I open IE though and my account works perfectly on Facebook. The rest of the internet works fine as well on Firefox. My virus scan didn't pick up anything (I scanned myself, I didn't download what FB wanted me too). I cleared history/cookies etc. Uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it and the message still pops up when I want to relog to Facebook. What the fuck is going on?

This happen to anyone else? Any tips to fix this or something? I googled my problem and it's happened to some other people but no one really said how to fix it...

do you have an I.P changer on your computer? usually if you attempt top log in facebook from a different state it automaticly thinks your a different person trying to hack

I said "fuck it" and downloaded whatever Facebook wanted me too. It's back to working again.

Sometimes, facebook has commercials that play on your timeline, it's gotten gaytarded

I experienced the same problem a few days ago. It's promotional scam on the part of FB. 1st display adds and then provide the solution. It's nothing but a promotion for McAfee. Because, once I downloaded it, I didn't install or do anything with it, FB was back to normal.
