UK and Us Collabs?

Postby Tornado » Aug 21st, '07, 19:24

What would be the best Uk and Us rapper to collaborate on rap to up the bar for both games, cuz i wuz listening 2 Kray Twins ft Twista & Lethal Bizzle (shit song by the way) but it got me thinking again. I feel either Plan B and Eminem ( as they're similar in some ways) or an Akala track with Rakim.

For all yall US Hip-Hoppers who don't know these artists, check

^ Plan B and Akala, truely two of the best doing it right now.
I loved that twista/bizzle track, was nuts and I liked how lethal could hold his own on the track ...

Agreed but for the club / hype track it was, I couldn't see anyone else doing a better job on it.
At the time I thought it was finally going to create some kind of movement in US/UK collabs but 2 years or so on and ain't nothing changed :'(

I think it should and can work, I personally would collab with anyone unless they were reli promoting sumfin i disagree wid and im uk, but like with rap I feel theres too much 'repin ya endz' talk, its arite but like, while I think competition can be important and entertaining, I feel urban music paticularly rappers and grime mcs in the uk, has become a sport, it matters who u have battled/clashed etc or how gangsta u sound on da song, rather than the lyrics, its a fashion tho that comes in and out, I rekon collaborations are reli gud, I get a buzz when I hear a track and one verse or even the whole track has a rapper with a competely different sound etc, basically I feel like with any component of music, wether its two instruments or two rappers or two singers or whteva if they are used in a good way together they can compliment each other, I dont like lethal b tho I dnt think hes newer near 'the best' of the uk. personaly link ups id like are:

kano-busta (although i dnt like busta much i think they wud compliment each others styles)
me-mc maybe - we can wrk together jus we havent proved it yet lol
wiley-dmx - both have very raw sounding voices may wrk i duno
plan b - eminem - yes

btw tht lady soverign girl isnt tht gud she certainly isnt as gud as she is famous so her mary j blige collab wasnt tht special at all, cos mary j is like in a special group of artists tht are in a league of their own, i feel lady s only got wid her cos she has good promotion/links/record dealer ppl, tht wana use ppl like mary j to gain fame, rather than make decent songs lol, hence no1 knws the song im on about.

i was thinkin immortal tech but i dont knw ne1 in the world let alone the uk tht i feel wud compliment him, he makes every rapper seem un-opinonated, I feel tho he is way too-over-opinionated yet I respect his entitlement to an opinion.

i wud like a colab of more thn 2 ppl aswel, where they all do about 8 bars each and all feat on a hook ever 24 bars, i think tht wud wrk nd be a massive trck!
