Clothes advice

Postby Throwback24 » Sep 25th, '08, 01:11

I've got an important job interview coming up and I well... lack good taste. I need help buying a good dress shirt/pants. Any brands, stores, anything?

And don't wear sneakers. Buy loafers or stuff like that.

i wear Nike's to mine and they've worked

they're solid black though, minimal stitching. not of that ugly ass multi colored shit you see today so it at least looked a little more professional. overall i wouldn't worry about brand too much. you don't wanna empty your wallet for an interview. as long as the look is there. no respectable employer would deny you the job for wearing something off-brand.

Depends where its for, if its for flipping burgers, dont worry bout that to much. If its an important job and you know theyre a serious business the best thing to do is just go in a suit, thats always a good first impression. If its just casual around there, still wear a button up and dont do jeans and sneakers.

Agree with Slimm. If you're going to flip bugers, you can basically go in a white tank-top and jeans. But I wouldn't do it if it's a serious company. :8)

I suggest a black suit with a tie, most big time companies appreciate this outfit if not require it.

just wear a suit, i think u should only wear a tie if its like really bizniss-like

you always wanna wear one above what the company requires.

say they wear button down shirts with slacks, you should wear a tie.

say they wear ties, you should wear a jacket.

its always best to be one above but not wayyyy above, dont show up in a tux or anything lol
