But...I don't hate him personally..i don't necessarily like him much...his songs are catchy (they get stuck in my head)......it's just half the time i don't even know what he's saying.....and he has those glasses with soulja boy on them written in tippex i swear?...but yes...idk..i can see why people don't like him..can see why people do...you know he's the shit you're gonna be bumping at a party..not somebody like...idk..talib..

I don't like dance songs...or just about anything on the radio. It seems that when something has reached that level of commercial success, it's been watered down far to much to even be listenable. I listen to rap for the lyrics, not the "sound" or the beats, or any of that.

Honestly ignorant people keep putting him into the same category as rap. Which is ridiculous. Like relapse and others said earlier rap is lyrics, beat and delivery, chopped down. Honestly all those categories make up rap. Yellin Turn my swag on over and over and people sayin it's dope and he is a good rapper is like spitting in my face. Honestly I hate "artist" like him becasue they are the ones giving wat other people percieve as "rap"a bad name. I say "artist" like special olympians are elite athletes. And I help teach mentally retarded kids so I'm not making fun. But honestly he makes party songs. Songs that I wont really care about the lyrical content cause I'm too busy dancing or watever. Superman was ok cause it was new and kinda fresh right. Had the whole dance thing going on and all that. But now all these people sittin here tryin to make their own dance and all this is killin me. So now all these ignorant people calling him a good rapper because thats all they hear on the radio. I just wish they could play some good music on the radio these days. But thats probably just me being a more lyrically listener. I rate it 75% delivery and lyrics then 25% beat. Alot of underground people I love dont have the best beats but their songs have meaning and purpose, soulja boy does not.

I don't really hate Soulja Boy, he really annoys me tho. I can't stand all the stupid dance song. It's not my kinda a thing. I don't mind others listening to it really, if they like it let them be. I just don't want people go and say Soulja Boy is HIP HOP when he is not. I hate dance song and love songs and will always hate them.
