5.When Lil Wayne's claim to be the "Best Rapper Alive" is a good enough reason for people to believe him.
6.When Soulja Boy is dissing the GZA.
7.When G-Unit dedicates an entire mixtape for dissing Fat Joe (Elephant In The Sand).
8.When 1 minute-long ringtones sell more than full albums do.
9.When you see Lil Wayne wearing a t-shirt saying "I Am Hip-Hop".
10.When you hear "Hip-Hop ain't dead, it lives in the south".
11.When every other album in 2007-2008 had at LEAST one guest appearance by Akon and/or Lil Wayne.
12.When they're remixing remixes.
13.When you can't watch BET without getting depressed.
