That would have to be a pretty strong magnet :confusion:

Probably the electromagnets that use in Germany for the public transport..... cant even imagine how much it costs, and how much voltage need to operate.

I wonder if they can make bullet proof suits with similar technology: something that repels the magnetic properties of bullets.
It's probably doable, but the problem is that there are so many objects made of the same material as bullets that it's impractical.

You serious? The force needed to repel a bullet coming at supersonic speed would repel every other metal object in a radius of 100 meters....besides, bullets are not magnetic.

Rail guns propel bullets up to 7x the speed the speed of sound using magnetic force.
If scientists can find a way to propel bullets using magnetism, then them finding a way to repel bullets with comparable technology isn't out of the question.

In a single moment a field charges and uncharges and thus they propel an otherwise static MAGNETIC bullet. Gun bullets are lead and copper and they are already in trajectory. Far harder to even consider it.

I'm with Coccoa on this one, even if bullets were magnetic -which they're not- they wouldn't be able to develop a vest, or any type of other cloth, to propel the bullets 'cause of the speed these bullets are fired with from a gun. Magnetism get's irrelevant when you surpass a certain amount of speed, same with gravity.. If you use enough force you'll levitate from the ground.

Well, not in the near future anyways, they have to find a way to defy a law of nature.
