Do You Trust In The Bible?

Do you trust in The Bible? What I mean is, do you believe the statements, verses, morals, and all the stories in the Bible? Do you believe the story about how "God" created the Earth and mankind? Do you believe the 10 Commandments?

Mainly - Do you believe in what the Bible says, or do you think that it's just a stretched out story (something along those lines), that somebody created?

maybe i would believe the 10 Commandments.. well.. ok, let's say i believe. does it change anything? i could believe in Aztecs' Patecatl and it wouldn't change nothing - it's said 'thou shall not kill' - ...

Bible? umm.. hard to say, cause i believe in evolution, not the fact that God created a man practically from nothing. but it's quite good historic source and that's why i voted 'yes'.

Thanks for replying Yoshi, quite understanding, what you wrote that is. However, I voted no, for me, there's things in the Bible that is to far fetch and stretched, I just can't believe certain things and everything.

^ yeah, i know, sometimes it sounds just weird for me.. can't believe the whole walkin on water thing and stuff like that, but it's still a great source of knowledge about that period..

I believe in God and in the Bible.I try to follow some of the commandments, but I accept the story about creation just as a way of explanation,not as the truth.I mean, I believe in the evolution thing, but this is the explanation of the Bible and it's prolly ment to teach the christians something..

The bible is a threat to our society , it makes us degenerate, the fact that we believe that the book was written truthfully and not just some bunch of stories that were overexagerated through time is kind of rediculous. To me its the same thing as wen people claimed the earth was flat and not round.

In reallity it dont matter what we belive coz only facts matter. Evolution is as much a fact a fact as gravity, its been scientifically proven its possible and IS still happening, yet the old fasioned school idiots still consider the bible to be a "fact" that proves it wrong.

Nothing supernatural has been proven in the bible and never will be... simply coz its not true.

Everybody who's posted has excellent points, I've never read the Bible, so some of your points and stuff are quite confusing, but I understand your logic and everything :flower:

I love your explanation Asp, I can relate to everything you said. As I said, I haven't read the Bible mostly based on everything you've just pointed out. I like how you worded it and everything :flower:

I mean even the the leninists who lead a life based on real time facts still accept religion as a personal belive and see it as aceptable.

It shouldnt affect society though, if u see wat i mean, but for the last 2000 it has caused quite a lot of trouble and killed a lot of people. It just highly disturbs me how people take it too serious.

I agree with you on that..it's like now in medio oriente, religion is affecting politics and spciety too much.
