For me it was

on a radio show when they were playing oldschool hip hop, they were playing

Big Daddy Kane- "Cause I Can Do It Right"
&
Biz Markie- "Something For the Radio"

but that didnt get me into hip hop coz i was only 9 years old
but wen i was 11 I bought

Snoop Doggs' "Doggystyle" and it was definately the track "Who I Am" that made me say CHEEAA thats wat kind of muzik im slaved too

Growing up I had no access to rap, with no computer/internet and not knowing about it at the time it was all pop urban hits for me. Tracks like 'I'll be missing you' were a few of the first hip hop type tracks. It wasn't untill I started high school and got a pc that it all turned around and before long I was rapping along to rap hits in my mirror ..

Don't act like I'm the only one :P

first rap song (that i remembered) was "My Name Is" :lol: everything serious started when i got pc and internet (like 5 yrs ago)
